All 7 of the islands have airports although some are for inter-island hopping only - Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and La Palma house the main airports which receive international flights from the UK. Although there are two main airports on Tenerife, most international flights go to Tenerife Sur (Reina Sofia). The bulk of international flights to the Canary Islands directly are charter flights.

Some of the most famous ones include Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival - an annual carnival held in February each year and Corpus Christi - celebrated throughout Spain annually in June.
