Corfu is an island in the Ionian islands, to the west of the Greece mainland and to the north of the Ionian Sea. Corfu enjoys hot, dry summers and mild winters. Temperatures in July and August range from 90°F (32°C) during the day to 64°F (18°C) at night. Rainfall is unlikely during the peak summer season, but heavy showers can be expected between September and April.
Corfu Town is the capital of the island and the principal port. It has unique architecture, influenced by the French, English, Venetian and Sicilian. It is a very elegant and interesting area and one you should visit whilst on holiday in Corfu. Other popular resorts include Roda, Aghios Ioannis, Sidari, Gouvia, Kassiopi, Kavos.
