French Strikes Cause Travel Delays and Cancellations
Created by HH News Team - 19/10/2010
Continuing strikes in France over pensions have led to disrputions to travel within and related to France including French Air Traffic control and French airspace.
The strikes, which have gained momentum over the last few days, have so far resulted in fuel shortages and severe delays to many travellers across France.
Flights to and from France, within France and across French airspace have also been affected, with flights being delayed or cancelled as a result. Flights to places such as Barcelona and other areas of Spain have also been affected. Some ferry ports are also being affected.
Advice from the FCO advises that you should check with your travel company before travelling to ensure flights are not cancelled or to get information on any disruptions to service.
