I have been in the travel business for two decades - I don't claim to know everything, but I know a lot more than I did 20 years ago! I have travelled extensively, particularly in North America and the Far East. USA CARHIRE
America is the land of wide open spaces and the open road - unfortunately, the majority of it is not well served by public transport. A car is not essential but it will significantly enhance your holiday experience (unless you are in a large metropolis such as New York). For peace of mind, all our cars are fully insured with unlimited mileage and all local taxes. They are all air-conditioned and fully automatic - roads are wide and driving is easier than at home!
Here are some examples (based on Florida, other states vary) - carhire is cheaper than many places in Europe!
14 days fully insured and taxed carhire - just pay for your petrol!
£175 - small saloon car, suitable for 2/3 passengers
£199 - Ford Focus/Vauxhall Astra size - seats 4

FLORIDA VILLAS, HOUSES & APARTMENTS
We have access to everything from a 7 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa with private swimming pool (sleeping up to 16), to a 1 bedroom apartment (sleeping 4). Generally, whatever the size, these are luxuriously furnished and equipped: they would rate 4 or 5 stars. There can be surprisingly little difference in price between an average hotel room and a home - even if there are only two of you, I can (from personal experience) recommend the extra luxury of your own place...
